Why am I receiving a credit for being a legacy user instead of charging me less?

How do I switch to legacy annual as a monthly legacy user?
As a legacy monthly user, you can change to a legacy annual plan and redeem your credit by switching plans within your account before September 22, 2022. Credits will be redeemed on the first billing renewal after September 22, 2022.
