Amazon has recently begun to return Brand Registry errors for some items. These error messages read:
Amazon must approve your brand before you can use it to list products. Brands should be registered through Brand Registry, but if your brand is not eligible for Brand Registry, you can obtain an exception by contacting Seller Support and mentioning error code 5665.
InventoryLab does not send the brand when sending your product feeds to Amazon, so this is not something that can be provided or resolved through our application. If the brand of your MSKU is already an established brand, it's likely the ASIN has incorrect brand information. This will need to be fixed through Seller Support. We have also reached out to Seller Support who confirmed that this is a Catalog issue and not an API issue.
To fix this error, please reach out to them with the ASIN and the following information:
- The brand name used while creating the listing. (Mention the brand name the item is supposed to be as well.)
- Images of the product and packaging, which shows branding on either. The images can show the product and packaging when either held in hand, or placed on a table. The branding must be permanently affixed.
To avoid further issues, such as the item ending up in Stranded Inventory when received, we suggest reaching out to Seller Support with the above information to get it corrected. You can also remove the item from the shipment if needed by following the steps in the article linked below:
