FBA & MFN Inventory - Management View
Inventory Accounting - FBA or Merchant
Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) and Merchant Fulfilled (Merchant)each have their own page that can be navigated to from the Inventory tab in InventoryLab. If you want to know more about tracking unlisted inventory, check out the article: Unlisted Inventory Overview.
FBA & Merchant Overview
Inventory updates on the FBA and MFN pages approximately every 3 hours throughout the day by syncing your current inventory from Amazon. You can see the last time a sync was performed (in PDT) at the top of the page. We currently sync active and inactive (out of stock) inventory items from Amazon. We do not sync blocked, deleted, or closed listings.
On the FBA or Merchant page, you can change the Status field to All, Active, Has Alert, or Out of Stock to change the view of the inventory status.
Switch the view on the Inventory page between Accounting and Management by clicking on the View drop down and selecting your view choice.
The page is searchable by ASIN, MSKU, Title, or by scanning the UPC. If you search and no results appear, you'll get a blank page.
The default view is All units (both active and out of stock) for Status, and the Accounting View.
FBA & MFN Inventory - Accounting View
The following columns make up the main Inventory pages in Accounting View:
- Title (also shows ASIN, FNSKU, and any Alerts for that item)
- MSKU
- On Hand - This includes fulfillable, unfulfillable, and reserved inventory
- Replens (number of replenishments for that MSKU)
- List Price
- Active Cost/Unit
- Active Supplier
- Active Date Purchased
The Cost/Unit, Supplier, and Date Purchased of the item reflects the buy cost of the next to be sold unit.
The information cannot be manually edited from the main page, but clicking on any of the data under the following headers will take you to the Replenishments page:
- MSKU
- Replens
- Active Cost/Unit
- Active Supplier
- Active Date Purchased
If you click on the Active Cost/Unit, Active Supplier, or the Active Date Purchased for an item you will be taken to the current Cost/Unit sequence InventoryLab is using.
A bar graph at the bottom of the page displays when you have inventory in stock. By mousing over each colored section of the graph, this will display the supplier, total buy cost from that supplier and the percentage of the total buy cost for that supplier (as shown below).
Total In-Stock Buy Cost - This is a calculation of the on hand totals multiplied by the buy cost of the sort sequence that the quantity belongs to. Each total is added up for each MSKU to create the sum of the Total In-Stock Buy Cost.
Total In-Stock Sales Value - This is a calculation of the on hand totals multiplied by the list price of an MSKU. Each total is added up for each MSKU to create the sum of the Total In-Stock Sales Value.
The Alert Icon indicates that there may be an issue with your replenishments for that particular item, and that what Amazon (plus your inbound inventory) is showing for your inventory levels isn't matching the total that Stratify indicates. The link is clickable, and will take you to the Replenishments page and display the information that caused the alert.
To get to the Replenishments Page, click on the Alert Icon, MSKU, Replens number, or the Active Cost/Unit, Supplier, or Date Purchased.
The Replenishments Page shows the following:
Status - This displays when the sort sequence is Depleted (all quantities used), Active (the current sequence information being used), or In Queue (the sequence is still waiting to be used).
Replenishments - This displays which sequence the replenishment is in. There is the Initial or First Purchase, then the Replenishments are numbered in order by Purchased Date.
Origin - This displays the day in which the sequence was listed or last edited.
Cost/Unit - The cost/unit of the sequence.
Supplier - The supplier of the sequence.
Date Purchased - The purchase date of the sequence.
Initial Quantity - The total quantity of items within the sequence.
Remaining - The remaining quantity of the sequence that has yet to be used. You can click this number to view all of the orders, refunds, and reimbursements that used up the quantities within the sequence.
Actions: Split - This allows you to split quantities of a sort sequence.
Actions: Delete - This allows you to delete an entire sort sequence.
The Replenishments Page also shows information if there are any alerts for that item, displayed in the upper right corner of the page. This box will be red in color if there is an alert, and grey if there are no alerts regarding your inventory quantities.
When you mouse over the alert box, an informational drop down details the reason for the alert:
This will also display if you click on the Alert Icon from the main inventory pages.
For more information on what could cause an alert, our Replenishment Quantity Totals Are Different From Amazon article gives you more information.
