Once you search for and select your product in Scout, the Storage tab can provide you with information on the storage cost for that item.
To see projected storage costs for an item, click the Storage tab after searching for it in Scout.
The Projected Storage Fees graph allows you to view how long you can have an item in the fulfillment centers at a certain price and still make a profit by hovering over the different data points.
To use it effectively, you’ll first need to enter your Cost/Unit and your List Price in the Profit Calculator to the right of the graph:
The vertical points in the graph reflect the dollar amount.
The horizontal points reflect each month over a 24-month period.
The graph consists of the following data segments:
Blue line – List Price
Orange dotted line – Total Storage Fees
This is cumulative meaning each dot represents the total amount of storage fees (both monthly and long-term) you would have paid based on the timeframe.
Note: These are based on the current Amazon storage fees.
Green dotted line – Profit after Storage Fees (positive)
Red dotted line – Profit after Storage Fees (negative)
Blue shaded area – FBA Fees and Shipping
Green shaded area – Cost per unit
Hover over the data points in the graph to get the storage fee and profit totals for a specific month, or if on a mobile device slide your finger along the graph.
You can also toggle on and Off the List Price, Total Storage Fees, and Profit After Storage Fees by clicking the matching icons in the legend.
