There may come a time when you want to change a product from being listed as MFN to being listed as FBA or vice versa.
Note: When converting between channels, the cost, supplier, and purchase date will transfer with the MSKU to the new channel in Stratify.
Why can't I use this MSKU?
If you attempt to replenish an existing MSKU in a batch that is tied to the opposite fulfillment channel, you will notice that the Replenish button for it is grayed out and unable to be chosen in the Existing MSKU window.
For example, if you are listing in an FBA batch, but try to replenish an existing MSKU for the Merchant (MFN) fulfillment channel, you will not be able to click the "Replenish" button for it. This is because Amazon does not allow MFN items to be listed in the same batch as FBA items and vice versa.
In this scenario, you would either need to click Ignore Matching MSKUs and Create New to create a new MSKU to be used for the opposite fulfillment channel, or click Close to convert the existing MSKU before attempting to add it to the batch again.
How to Convert MSKUs Between Fulfillment Channels
The process is relatively simple but must be done in Seller Central:
- Log-in to Seller Central and go to Inventory>Manage Inventory
- Search for your item
- Click the check box by the item and then choose “Action on selected”
- Choose to “Change to Fulfilled by Amazon” or “Change to Fulfilled by Merchant”
- Choose “Convert”
- Now the MSKU has been converted to the fulfillment channel you want to use and you can return to InventoryLab to add the item to your batch.
Adding a Converted MSKU to a Batch
Once an MSKU has been successfully converted in Seller Central, you have a couple of options when adding it to a batch in Stratify. You can either wait for your inventory to complete an automatic sync with Amazon (this happens every 3-5 hours) or follow the steps below to list the newly converted MSKU right away.
If your inventory has synced:
Stratify will recognize that the MSKU has been converted when you attempt to add it to your batch.
Click the green Replenish button to use your existing MSKU.
Next, enter in your quantity and purchase details as you normally would.
Complete your listing process by clicking the Add to Batch button.
If your inventory hasn’t synced:
Stratify will not recognize that the MSKU has been converted when you attempt to add it to your batch and the Replenish button will still be grayed out.
To proceed, click the Ignore Matching MSKUs and Create New button.
Next, enter in your quantity and purchase details, as you would any other listing, and scroll down to the MSKU area.
Highlight the new MSKU that was automatically created for you.
Copy the Seller SKU of your product from Seller Central and paste it in the MSKU field in Stratify.
Complete your listing process as usual by clicking the Add to Batch button.
