Amazon has recently removed the option to delete items from shipments that are in "working" status. However, there is a workaround that allows you to remove items after the shipment has been paid for. This process can currently only be done through Seller Central.
Note: If you need to delete an item from a box, you must be sure that there are other items included as Amazon will not allow you to delete the entire box. Please ensure your boxes have a combination of items before you proceed with the steps in this article.
Additionally, you will want to ensure your weights and dimensions are accurate WITHOUT the item included as you WILL NOT be able to adjust your weights and dimensions after estimating charges.
Once you have confirmed the details in your shipment, follow the steps below:
1. Complete your Shipment and Pay for Shipping
2. Convert the Shipment to Send to Amazon in Seller Central
3. Edit the Contents of your Shipment
1. Complete your Shipment and Pay for Shipping
To start, you will need to complete your shipment and pay for shipping. To complete this within InventoryLab, you can review these articles depending on your workflow:
Box Content Using Feeds - Completing SPD Shipments
Box Content Using Feeds - Completing LTL Shipments
Note: If you're using a non-partnered carrier, follow the steps to export your box contents, as you will need to redo this step in Seller Central.
2. Convert the Shipment to Send to Amazon in Seller Central
Once you have estimated your charges, you will need to navigate to Seller Central and locate the shipment:
After you've selected the option to "Work on Shipment" you will need to "Convert to Send to Amazon".
Note: Once you convert the shipment to Send to Amazon, no further changes can be made to the shipment within InventoryLab.
A new popup will appear where you need to select "Convert":
3. Edit the Contents of your Shipment
Note: If you chose the non-partnered option, you need to import your box content info first.
A new page will appear where you will need to select "View or Edit Contents":
You should then see another popup where you can either edit the quantity of units in the shipment OR delete the item entirely:
Note: You CANNOT delete the box entirely. If there is only one item in the box, you will not be able to delete and will only be able to modify the # of units by 5% or 6 units, whichever is greater.
Once you've deleted the item or modified the quantity, you will then need to select "Validate updates":
You'll then need to review the pop-up that appears and "Confirm and Submit".
After this, you're done and can print your updated box and shipping labels from within Seller Central.
