Not sure if you're restricted from selling products you're considering purchasing? Let Stratify check for you automatically by turning on the Product Alert options in your Settings!
Note: The Product Alert options in Stratify are only applicable to Scout at this time.
For information on Ideal Buy settings, please see- Ideal Buy, Desired ROI, and Rank Thresholds
To manage these settings, click your Account Name and select Settings from the dropdown menu.
Click General from the left menu.
Next, scroll to the Product Alerts section.
Check For Amazon Restrictions
Note: The intention of the Amazon Restrictions alert is to show you Seller-related restrictions for products, such as category, brand, or condition restrictions.
Click the toggle next to Check for Amazon Restrictions to turn this option On or Off.
With this setting turned On, you can select which conditions you want Stratify to check restrictions for by clicking the checkboxes next to them.
The product conditions available to choose from are:
• New
• Used Like New
• Used Very Good
• Used Good
• Used Acceptable
• Collectible Like New
• Collectible Very Good
• Collectible Good
• Collectible Acceptable
• Refurbished
When searching for products, you will see an Amazon Restricted Alert next to a product if you are restricted from selling it in a condition you have set up in these settings.
You will also see the Amazon Restricted Alert after clicking on a product to view its information.
Clicking View Product Alerts and expanding the Amazon Restrictions section will show you what conditions you are allowed to sell the product in as well as what conditions you are restricted from selling it in.
If Amazon is accepting applications to sell the product, you will see a Request Approval in Seller Central link under the Restricted Conditions section.
Clicking this will open a new tab in your browser where you can sign in to Seller Central and complete the steps to request approval.
If Amazon is not accepting applications to sell the product, you will see a note saying that Amazon is not currently accepting applications to sell this ASIN under the Restricted Conditions section instead.
Check For Hazmat
Note: Due to API limitations, the Hazmat alert is only visible after clicking on a product to view its information. It will not show in the results list when searching for items.
In addition, if you are approved for the FBA Dangerous Goods program, you will not see hazmat alerts at all in Stratify since Amazon does not return any information on whether a product is hazmat or not when enrolled. Currently, they only return these details when an account is not approved for the program.
Click the toggle next to Check for Hazmat to turn this option On or Off.
With the Check for Hazmat setting turned On, you will see the Hazmat Alert after clicking on a product to view its information if Amazon has classified it as a dangerous good.
Clicking View Product Alerts and expanding the Hazmat section will show a message saying that the item is considered hazmat by Amazon or that it is under hazmat review.
