If you are unsure of your ability to sell in a certain category or brand, we recommend checking with Amazon to verify your permission to avoid having stranded inventory.
To help, you can set up Product Alerts in InventoryLab, Scoutify, and ScoutX to automatically show you when you are restricted from selling an item.
For details, please take a look at the following articles:
- Product Alerts
- Scoutify 2: Settings - Automatically Check for Amazon Restrictions
- ScoutX: Overview - Product Alerts
InventoryLab also provides a quick way to check if you are restricted from selling an item Scoutify as well as the List and Scout areas of InventoryLab via a hotlink to Seller Central.
To determine if an item is restricted in Scout or List, click the Restricted Amazon icon located in the list of additional resources.
To determine if an item is restricted in Scoutify, tap the Research button to bring up the list of additional resources, then tap Amazon Restrictions.
You will be redirected to Seller Central to log in (if you are not already logged in).
After logging in, the ASIN you are researching will be automatically looked up for you on the Add a Product page.
Select your item's condition, and if you see Sell this product, you are free to list the item in that condition.
However, if you have a restriction of some kind, you will see Show Limitations and can click this to show additional requirements and details on the restriction.
