Each time you create a new Batch, you will be required to choose who will apply the label to the item(s) you want to sell; you or Amazon.
When you create a new Batch in InventoryLab, the window in the figure below will be displayed:
Make your selection by clicking on the dropdown referenced in the figure below:
Select your preference.
- I will label all my items - This option is the default selection and means that you will label every item before you ship it to Amazon. With this setting, it will use NO_LABEL where eligible based on your settings in Seller Central, but when not, the seller will label.
- FBA should label my items and reject items that cannot be labeled - Selecting this option means that Amazon will label your items for you BUT (big but here), those that cannot be labeled, will go to commingled inventory (if eligible) or, will become stranded or will be returned to you. As an example, items like Food and Beauty cannot be commingled. Check with Seller Central if you are unsure. Only they can make the determination and give you an answer. If it doesn't qualify for NO_LABEL, it won't let you add the item to the batch at all.
- FBA should label my items, however, I will label items as necessary - This option also tells Amazon to label the items it receives from you, but you will need to label items that Amazon cannot. For example, let’s say you are sending a bundle with no barcode, you would need to label the bundle because Amazon will not label an item without a barcode. On that same note, if you have an item that does not have a “scannable” barcode, you will need to label it before shipping it to amazon. So, in summary, with this option, Amazon will open your box and label only the items that have not been labeled by you. if it doesn't qualify for NO_LABEL, but FBA labels it, it will get labeled for a fee at Amazon. If it both doesn't qualify for NO_LABEL and FBA Label, it will be the seller that needs to label it.

Commingling (NO_LABEL)
By default, Amazon has new sellers set to commingle their items. This means in InventoryLab, your prep-type will show as NO_LABEL and no label will print out for items that are eligible for this feature. If you'd like to keep this on, great. However, if you'd like to label your own items (SELLER_LABEL), we have some instructions on how to turn on/off this commingling setting.
To turn on Stickerless, Commingled Inventory:
- Seller Central->Settings->Fulfillment by Amazon->FBA Product Barcode Preference
- Click the 'Edit' button
- Select "Manufacturer barcode"
To turn off Stickerless, Commingled Inventory:
- Seller Central->Settings->Fulfillment by Amazon->FBA Product Barcode Preference
- Click the 'Edit' button
- Select "Amazon barcode"
