The error FBA_INBOUND_CARTON_015 (the expiration date error) relates to an item in your shipment not being provided a required expiration date. The MSKU causing the issue will typically appear between slashes.
Expiration date is required but missing for SKU \"SKU NUMBER HERE\" in box \"{cartonId}\" in message \"1\". (FBA_INBOUND_CARTON_015)
Note: If this error returns along with another box content error (such as FBA INBOUND CARTON 027) unfortunately, Amazon does not always provide us with which MSKU is the culprit in this case. If you need help determining which item requires expiration dates, Amazon has a help article around Date- and Temperature-Sensitive Products.
With the Send to Amazon workflow, you can only follow the steps below prior to navigating to the shipment's page in Seller Central. Once you are on the shipment page with Send to Amazon, changes can no longer be made through their API.
You can view these types of errors by clicking on the List tab and selecting Amazon Listing Errors from the dropdown menu.
Then find the related error and click the i under the Action column for additional information.
Once you have found the MSKU(s) causing the trouble, you can add missing expiration dates to the box content information for the shipment by following the steps below.
Navigate to the List>List & Prep page. Under Working Shipments, click the 3 horizontal lines to the right of the shipment you need to edit and select Work on Shipment.
Locate the MSKU, click directly on the expiration date (or N/A) and it will turn into an editable field to update.
Enter the date or select the date from the calendar.
Once all of the needed changes have been made, click the Purchase Shipping button in the lower right corner to resend your box content information to Amazon.
Wait for the green Success message on the right side of the page.
You can then move forward to Estimate Charges and finalize your shipment.
